PA High Schools Are Among America's Biggest But Not Best, According To Niche

Niche has released lists ranking American high schools for 2025.

Unfortunately, none of Pennsylvania's public, private, charter, and magnet high schools earned A+ from Niche or were ranked in the top 50 best schools.

The state does have one of the most diverse high schools with Central Dauphin East Senior High School coming in at number five on the list

Three of the largest high schools in America are also in PA:

The Keystone may have missed the mark, and failed to place on key ranking lists, but out of 723 schools in the Commonwealth on the Niche list, here are Pennsylvania's top 50 public high schools:

Niche says the latest rankings are based on "rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education." Factors include teacher quality, high school ratings, college readiness, state test scores, and graduation rates (click here for more on methodology).

This year's rankings do not consider SAT/ACT scores "to reflect a general de-emphasis on test scores in the college admissions process.

The top high school in the country is North Carolina School of Science and Math.
